Chapter 01

Getting started with ProMan

Sign up, verify your email, and land in your first workspace.

Welcome aboard

ProMan is the project workspace your team will actually keep open. It takes about thirty seconds to create an account, and another minute to be useful. This chapter walks you through everything between opening proman.cotek.app for the first time and seeing your dashboard.

Creating your account

Head to proman.cotek.app and click Get started free. You’ll land on the signup form. Three fields: name, work email, and a password (we suggest using your password manager — ProMan requires at least 10 characters and rejects common passwords).

No credit card, no phone number, no marketing call. You’re a new user, we want you in the product.

Verifying your email

Immediately after signup, we send a verification email to the address you provided. The email arrives from alerts@cotek.app — check spam if it doesn’t land in the inbox within a minute.

Click the verification link and you’ll be dropped into onboarding. If you skip verification you can still explore the product, but sensitive actions (inviting teammates, upgrading, changing the org name) stay locked until you confirm.

Onboarding in three steps

Onboarding asks for three things:

  1. Your organization name. This is the workspace everyone on your team will share. You can rename it later in Settings → Organization.
  2. Your industry. Used to pre-fill sensible defaults — task templates for EPC projects look different from software sprints. You can change it later.
  3. What you’re trying to get done. Optional, but if you drop a sentence here the AI planner uses it to scaffold your first project.

Your dashboard

Once onboarding is done, you land on the dashboard. The top strip shows your KPIs: active projects, open tasks, tasks needing your attention, and hours logged this week. The center columns give you a timer, your tasks for today, and a quick view of project health. The right rail surfaces AI-generated suggestions and anything you should probably look at.

What you get on the free tier

Free accounts come with a 14-day Plus trial — every premium feature is unlocked during the trial, no credit card needed. When the trial ends, your workspace drops back to free limits (1 project, 1 task per project, 3 seats), but nothing gets deleted. You can upgrade anytime from Settings → Billing and pick up exactly where you left off.
